A good hotel site must make it easy to discover and book. But a luxury hotel site must also convey a sense of opulence.
Working from the existing brand identity standards, I designed pages that leveraged Mandarin’s stunning photography. Although the current site is not responsive, the design was built on a simple grid which will enable responsive updates in the future.
The goal of the project was to power 27 individual property sites – as well as a global brand site and a corporate site – from a single CMS. I created a site map explaining the relationships between the various sites and proposing reusable templates to each of the pages.
I broke the design system down into a series of reusable components that could be implemented in the CMS. Then I provided instructions on how the parts should fit together.
