Even today, most people pick up the phone to make appointments for everyday services like spas and salons. Getting them to use an app means creating a simple experience on both desktop and mobile.
Beginning with a mobile-first approach, I initially sketched out the basic booking flows in Axure. Eventually, these evolved into a desktop-friendly version.
As we iterated through versions of the prototype, I added detailed interactions to show exactly how a user would experience the shopping cart and checkout process. I also simplified the design, enabling a white-label feel that could be customized by each individual merchant.
